There is more than meets the eye with these objects - they are really cakes.

Baker extraordinaire Debbie Goard, from San Francisco, has created a range of cakes resembling 

savoury dishes and everyday objects which are often mistaken for the real thing.

Highlights include a Blackberry phone, a fast-food meal and a chihuahua. 

43-year-old Debbie has been creating 'edible art' for 20 years.

in almost any style her customers ask for. 

She says her skills are now so perfected that people often believe the cakes she makes are the real thing.

Her cakes start at a base price of £125 to thousands of pounds.

Debbie claims: 'The best part of my job is being challenged by unusual requests.

'This year I had a gallery show of cakes based on scenes from Horror movies including 

the rat on a platter from Whatever Happened to Baby Jane and food from the famous kitchen

 in Poltergeist, the most outrageous was maggot covered chicken.'

Not everything Debbie makes is so appetizing, 

this year she produced an enormous uterus cake for a group of graduating gynaecologists.

'I got quite a few quizzical looks when delivering that one,' said Debbie.

Debbie's cakes are to be featured in a book later on this year.
