Manu Chao - Bongo Bong

Manu Chao는 독특한 가수이다. 부모는 둘 다 스페인출신이지만 공교롭게도 어머니는 바스크지방 출신, 아버지는 갈리시아출신이다.

그 두지역은 스페인에서 분리독립을 원하는 지역이고 각각의 고유언어가 있다. 마누의 부모는 프랑코독재시절 마누출생후 파리로 

이주하였고 마누는 프랑스어, 스페인어, 갈리시아어, 포르투갈어, 영어, 아랍어로 노래부르고 특별한 일이 있으면 또 다른 나라 말로도 

노래한다고 한다.  이 곡은 1998년 발표된 곡으로 단순하지만 중독성있는 리듬으로 크게 히트했었다. 영국의 로비 윌리엄스가 리메이크했었고

2012년 미국 SNL 에서  Mokiki's sloppy swish dance의 모티브 송으로 다시 주목을 끌었었다. 단기적으로 수많은 커버댄스가 쏟아져 나와 

Sloppy swish dance가 강남스타일의 뒤를 있는 현상이 되는것이 아닌가하는 기사까지 나올정도였다.
