Ariana Grande - Side To Side ft. Nicki Minaj

2016년  8월 30일에 발표된 레게 음악,,올 여름에도 어김없이 레게

음악이 몇 곡 발표되었었다.. 꼭 그래야만 하는 것처럼 여름이면 어

김없이 레게 몇곡은 발표된다. 보통 레게는 물이 많은 곳이나 숲 속

의 나른함을 표현하는 공식과는 다르게 도심 속 휘트니스 클럽같은

분위기와 곡을 연결하고 있다.. 

뮤직비디오는 그저 휘트니스라는 메타포로 가사에 숨겨진 뜻을 감출

려고 하지만 이 내용이 감출려고 한다고 감춰질 내용도 아니다. 

심지어 주인공은 가사 속에서 이 운동장비 마저도 성적인 메타포로 

활용하고 있다..  

뮤직비디오에 나오는 남자들의 어깨관절을 보면 인형의 조인트처럼

선을 그려놓았다.. 이건 아마도 남자를 인형처럼 겉모습만 보고  있

음을 암시하는 것일 것이다. 가사 속 남자는 모든 친구들이 말리는 

나쁜 남자의 전형이지만 이미 주인공은 몰래 이 남자랑 만났다. 장기

적으론 자신에게 나쁜 결과를 가져올 거란 걸 알지만 신경쓰지 않는

다. 지금은 그저 어릴적 갖고 놀던 인형 바비의 남자친구 캔처럼 잘

생기고 몸매좋은 그 남자의 외모만 보고 있다는 것을 의미한다.

사실 인트로 겸 코러스 내용이 이 곡을 설명해준다고 본다..

밤새도록 거기 있었고  낮동안도 거기 있었다..   직역하면

그리고 그 남자애가 주인공을 이쪽 저쪽 으로 걷게 만들었

다.

이쪽 저쪽으로 걷는 걸 우리말로는 갈지자걸음이라 표현한

다. 결국 이 남자랑 밤새도 모잘라 낮동안도 열심을 다해 

운동(?)을 한 후  아파서 어그적어그적 갈지자 로 걷는다

는 내용이다.  

그런데 뮤직비디오에서 이런 내용을 아무렇지 않게 부를 수

있다는 것이  그냥 대단하다는 말 밖에 할 말이 없다..

walk side to side는 갈팡질팡하다라는 의미도 있는데 그런 

의미로도 볼 수는 있다. 그렇게 봐도 상관없다. 본인이 해석

하고 싶은 방식대로 해석하는 것 존중한다.

민망하지만 .. 정말 민망해서.. 그냥 민망하다..

icicle 은 종종 popcicle 과 같이 쓰인다.. 하나는 고드름이고

하나는 아이스크림이다.. 두개의 공통점은 녹는다는 점이고 

남성들도 여성앞에 녹는 특성을 갖고 있다.. 그리고 이 단어

는 남성의 물건을 상징하는 단어로 쓰인다..

wrist icicle은  손으로 물건을 잡아줌을 의미한다.. 

Dick 역시 남성의 물건이며. 그걸로 자전거를 탄다고 표현한

다. .....

니키 미나쥐 의 랩에서 나오는 내용이다. minaj는 프랑스어

의 Ménage à trois ( 삼각관계: 미나자 뚜화 ) 라는 단어에

서 Ménage ( 부부 : 미나쥐 ) 를 영어식으로 음차한 단어,, 

그래서 미국에서는 Minaj 를 원래 불어의 뜻인 부부나 세대

라는 뜻보다 Threesome 을 연상하곤 한다.. 그래서 네가 

Threesome을 원하면 난 세발자전거를 갖고 있다는 것은 

3명 정족수도 찼고 그럴 의사도 있다는 의미  ..

smoking ! 은 Hot 이라고 생각하면 된다.. 그래서 사람들은 그녀

는 굴뚝이라고 부른다.. 후끈하니까.. 그리고 그 열기를 배출하려

면 굴뚝이 필요하다..

zero fucks 은 남자들과 관계를 안한다라는 의미.. 정말 그런지는

모르겠고 그냥 아무남자랑 잠자리를 하지 않는다는 상투적 표현..

zero chill은 냉기는 없다라는 의미.. 정리하면 난 시답잖은 남자

들이랑 같이 안 자도 난 너무 뜨거운 여자라서 내 몸엔 전혀 차

가운 곳이란 찾아 볼 수 없다란 의미..
