이 곡을 찾게 된 단초가 된 단어가 이 구절에 나온다
cockney 라는 단어 때문인데 발음공부를 하다 영국식
영어발음을 뒤적거리다 " cockney sound " 라는 말을
듣게 되었고 그 이름의 영국사투리로 부른 곡을 검색
하다가 걸린 곡이다.
귀가 민감하신 분들은 이 곡 들으며 발음이 일반 영
어 팝송들의 발음이랑 많이 다르단 걸 느끼실 것같다..

gertcha 는 " get you gone "
꺼져 , 그만 해, 바보같은 소리 란 의미를 가졌고
영국식 영어로 " 거쳐 혹은 거챠 " 로 발음된다. 하지만 이 곡
속 cockney 식 발음은 외으챠 라고 발음되고 있다.
예전 국어 선생님이 현대인들은 "외" 발음을 " 왜 " 처럼 발음
하는 경향이 있다고 말하셨다. 물론 나도 일상생활에선 그렇게
발음하는 것같다. 하지만 원래 한국어의 " 외 " 의 발음은 독일
어의 " ö " 발음이라고 하셨던 기억이 난다. 어쩌면 우리는 그
발음을 잊어 가고 있는지 모르지만 하여간 이 곡의 gertcha 는
이론상 그 " 외 " 발음으로 발음되고 있다.
cowson 은 son of bitch 와 같은 의미라 보면 된다.
cockney 발음은 여러가지 특징이 있는데 어쩌면 영어 발음의
이해되지 않던 특징들을 이해하게 될 법칙들일지도 모른다는
생각이 들었다. 영국식 영어를 배우고 싶어 하시는 분들은 배
워보는 것도 나쁘지 않을 듯하다
이 곡 한 곡에 대부분 cockney 발음의 특징이 다 나온듯한데
설명하긴 무척 많아 보인다. 시간나는대로 적어 올릴 생각
