이 노래 분명 빌보드 히트를 했던 노래고 아직도 가끔 방송 배

경음악으로 나오는 걸 듣곤 한다. 슬로 댄스곡치곤 뭔가 경쾌하

다는 느낌..

하지만 가사는 그렇지 않다. 물론 메타포를 쓰고 있지만 알 사

람들은 다 아는 노골적 표현이 첫 줄부터 나온다.. 

그래서 단어 몇개만 설명하고 해석은 안할려고 한다..

먼저 Whistle이라는 단어.. 발음은 위슬..뜻은 호각 혹은 호르

라기다.. 주인공은 자신의 휘슬을 불 수 있겠냐고 말한다. 물론 

위슬은 호루라기 아니다.  남성의 물건이다. 

불다가 영어로 Blow 다. 그리고 남성의 물건을 가지고 하는 

행위를 blow Job이라고 하는데, Blow my whistle은 그 말을 

바꾸어 말한 것에 불과하다. 

Whistle은 (진짜 )총을 쏜다라는 의미도 있고, 지나가는 여자에

게 남자들이 휘바람분다는 의미도 있다.. 

휘바람불다를 이용한 재미있는 표현이 있다.

직역은 ' 그도 그것에 휘바람정도는 불 수 있다 '

지나가는 여자가 휘바람부는 남자를 휙 쳐다보며 생각하는 말

정도라고 보면된다. 우리말로 바꾸자면 " 떡 줄 사람 생각도 안

하는데 김치국물만 들이킨다 " 와 같은 의미

 Lips 란 의미는 보통 입술로 본다.. 물론 1차적 의미로는 입술

이다. 하지만 2차적 의미는 다른 것일 수도 있다. 왜냐하면 lip

은 여성에게는 하나가 더 있다. 

딱 두줄만 보면 이 곡이 무슨 내용인지는 알 수 있을 것이다.가

끔 비트나 리듬이 좋다고 곡을 좋아하는 경우를 보곤 하는데..

가사만 놓고 본다면 좋은 곡은 아니다. 최소한 노래방에서 가족

앞에선 부르지 말자. 만약 부른다면 술이 떡이되서 다신 안볼 사

람 앞에서 부르자. 목적은 물론 단 하나일때
