Eminem - Mockingbird

" Mockingbird "    M/V 를 보다보면 Eminem의 가족, 특히 딸을

노래한 랩송인 것을 느낄 수 있다. Eminem 에게는 딸 Hailie Jade 

와 입양한 딸 Alaina 와 그의 전 아내 Kim 이 있었다.. 이 곡을 만

들 당시 말이다.. 물론 Kim은 이미 그에게서 떠난 상태인 듯하다.

이 곡에서 그는 그의 가족사에 대해 딸들에게 설명하듯 노래하고 

있다..

그리고  " Mocking bird " 라는 이 곡의 제목은 아이들이 많이 부르

는 동요 " Hush Little Baby " 에  나오는 Mockingbird 를 따온 것

이다..코러스 역시 "  Hush Little baby "의 가사를 그대로 따왔다

그는 그의 랩안에 그의 실패한 결혼이야기, Kim 과의 어려웠던 결

혼생활,  이혼 그리고 Eminem의 성공에 대해 다루고 있다..

랩이라기보다 그냥 딸에게 들려주는 듯한 Eminem 의 짧은 독백..

그리고 들려오는 랩은 허세에 찬 라임도 아니고, 사회에 대한 공격

적인 불만도 아니다.. 오직 딸을 생각하는 아빠의 마음만이 느껴진

다. 

하지만 우리가 알고 있는 Eminem은 폭력적이고 아무에게나 욕을 

날리는 사람, 가끔 마약도 하는 그런 사람이었다. 우리가 아는 그가

틀렸든 , 딸에게만 안 그런 사람인지 구별하긴 힘들지만 일반적 아
빠들이 갖는 유니버셜한 특징인 딸에게만은 바보가 되는 특징을 천

하의 Eminem도 갖고 있는 건 확실한 듯하다..
